Downgrades and your data

Downgrading pauses or reverts features, preserves your data, and re-upgrading restores everything. Deleting is separate and reversible for 7 days.

Plans change; your data shouldn’t suffer for it. CoreLoop’s downgrade rule is simple: features pause or revert, data is preserved, and re-upgrading picks up where you left off.

What happens when you downgrade

  • Translations stop being served beyond your original language, but every translation is kept and restored on re-upgrade.
  • Over-limit locations are hidden, never deleted. They reappear the moment your plan allows them again.
  • The Verified badge comes off while you’re below Starter, since it’s part of the paid trust layer. Your verification proof (the link on your site) doesn’t go anywhere, so requalifying is automatic.
  • Automatic re-crawls stop when you land on Free. Your profile stays exactly as it is, and you refresh it yourself with Refresh now whenever you want. All paid plans re-check weekly, so moving between paid plans changes nothing here.
  • Running both front doors at once reverts to your CoreLoop page serving your link. Your page keeps working; the paired website channel switches off. It isn’t restored automatically when you upgrade again — you re-pick it.
  • A custom domain is switched off rather than released while you’re below Pro, and returns to pending (ready to re-verify) when you upgrade.
  • Page customisation reverts to the default look; your choices are remembered.
  • Agent rate limits drop to your new plan’s tier.

Your profile, page, agent channels, analytics history, and inbox all keep working on every plan, including Free.

Note: If your new plan allows fewer integrations, the extras pause automatically — your oldest connections keep running, up to the new allowance. Paused is not disconnected: nothing is lost, and you can swap which ones stay active in Dashboard → Integrations. Cancelling entirely pauses them all. When your plan allows more again, connections CoreLoop paused switch back on by themselves, oldest first, up to your new allowance — anything paused by our support team stays off until they turn it back on.

Cancelling entirely

Cancelling lands you on Free, with the same preservation rules above. Nothing is deleted.

If you want your data gone rather than kept, that’s a separate and explicit request — see Deleting your account or company for exactly what happens, including the 7-day window in which it can all be undone.
