Your team and what each role can do

Invite teammates by email, give each one a role, change or remove access later, leave a business, or hand it over to a new owner.

Most businesses aren’t run by one person, and your CoreLoop account doesn’t have to be either. Team access lives in your dashboard under Settings → Team, and it starts on the Pro plan — see Plans and billing for what else Pro includes.

Inviting someone

  1. Open Settings → Team and choose Invite member.
  2. Type their email address and pick the role you want them to have.
  3. Send it. They get an email with a link to join.

An invitation is good for 14 days. While it’s waiting you can send it again or cancel it — both are next to their name in the list. A pending invitation holds a seat, so if you’ve used every seat on your plan, cancel an invitation you no longer need before sending a new one.

Pro includes up to 10 teammates besides you. Agency and Enterprise plans have no practical limit. Free and Starter don’t include team access, so the Team page tells you so rather than letting you send an invitation that would bounce.

The three roles

  • Owner — everything. Three things are the owner’s alone: changing the plan or payment details, handing the business to someone else, and deleting it. There is exactly one owner.
  • Manager — everything the owner can do except those three. A manager edits the profile, services, photos and page, manages connections and inquiries, publishes or pauses the business, and invites or removes teammates.
  • Viewer — read-only. They see the dashboard and the results — what agents asked, what came in, how the business is doing — but can’t change anything.

You can move anyone between Manager and Viewer at any time from the Team page; the change takes effect immediately. You can’t promote someone to owner from here — that’s a handover, and it has its own flow further down this page.

Removing someone, and leaving

Remove next to a person’s name takes their access away immediately. Nothing they created — services, photos, replies to inquiries — is removed with them.

Anyone who isn’t the owner can leave a business themselves — Leave this company, under Settings → Account. Leaving only ends your own access; the business, its page and everyone else are untouched. The owner can’t simply walk away from a team, because that would leave the business with nobody in charge — hand it over first, or delete the business if that’s what you actually want.

Handing the business to a new owner

A handover is a two-person act, on purpose: nobody should be able to give away a company — or be given one — without both people agreeing.

  1. Start it. The current owner opens Settings → Company and chooses Hand over this company, then picks the new owner from the people who are already members. Invite them as a teammate first if they aren’t one yet.
  2. Confirm it’s you. You’ll be asked to prove it’s really you, right then, before anything moves. An unattended browser can’t give your business away.
  3. They accept. The person you chose gets an email with a link, good for 72 hours. They accept while signed in to their own account. Nothing changes until they do.
  4. The swap. They become the owner. You stay on as a Manager, so you keep working exactly as before, minus the three owner-only powers.

You can cancel a handover at any point before it’s accepted, and the link stops working the moment you do. If the 72 hours run out, just start it again.

What happens to billing. The plan belongs to the business, not to a person, so nothing is cancelled, restarted or re-charged: the subscription carries on exactly as it was. The difference is who’s in charge of it — after the handover, the new owner is the one who can change the plan or the payment details.

Tip: Handing over the business is the right move when someone leaves the company or you sell it. If you only want to stop being the person who edits things day to day, changing your own role isn’t possible — but a handover plus staying on as Manager gets you there.
