Troubleshooting

The crawl failed, no services were found, the snippet drifted, the page isn’t showing, agents seem rate-limited, here’s what’s happening and what to do.

The short list of things that go wrong, why they happen, and the fix. If yours isn’t here, contact us.

“The crawl failed”

Websites have bad days, and some block automated readers. A failed crawl retries once after six hours; if it fails again, your current profile stays live and untouched and you get an email. Fix whatever kept the site unreachable (hosting outage, aggressive bot blocking), then trigger a re-check from the dashboard. If your site simply can’t be crawled, switch to manual editing, everything works without a crawl.

“It found no services”

Some websites describe services in ways no reader, human or AI, can pin down. When extraction finds zero services, CoreLoop asks you to add them by hand rather than inventing any. Add your core offerings at Dashboard → Services; two or more in one category also switches on comparison answers. See Services.

“I got a snippet drift notification”

Your pasted website block no longer matches current URLs, usually after a business rename or a website redesign that dropped the block. Copy the fresh block from the dashboard and paste it again, then re-run the check. Background in Add CoreLoop to your website.

“My page isn’t showing”

Three switches to check, in order:

  1. Is the profile published? Draft, unpublished, and suspended profiles serve nothing, anywhere. See Publish and go live. If CoreLoop has paused your business, see the next entry.
  2. Where do visitors land? If your link is set to send people to your own website, your CoreLoop page stops showing, while agents keep answering. Check Where people and agents find you.
  3. Did the link change? If you renamed your business link, the old address forwards to the new one, but double-check what you printed on the sticker.

“My page is paused by CoreLoop”

Very occasionally CoreLoop pauses a business — usually because something on the profile broke the rules, or a report needs looking into. You’ll see a notice at the top of your dashboard with the reason and the date. While it’s paused, your CoreLoop page, your directory listing, AI agents and your connections are all switched off, and the switches that would turn them back on are paused too. Nothing you’ve set up is lost, and you can still edit your profile — fixing whatever caused the pause is exactly the thing to do. Then use Contact support in the notice and we’ll take a look.

“Agents are getting rate-limited”

Each plan has an hourly limit on agent queries (the numbers are in MCP). Consistently hitting it is usually good news, and a plan upgrade raises it. Inquiry limits are separate, deliberate spam protection: 3 per sender per day, 50 per business per day, across both doors, working as intended.

“A change on my website isn’t reflected”

Every business detail the re-crawl detects waits for your approval; nothing about your business is applied on its own. (The one exception is a blank: a still-empty logo or brand colour is filled in from your site for you.) Open Dashboard → Profile — a summary bar appears above the tabs while changes are pending.

If the queue is empty, there are two ordinary explanations. On Free there are no automatic re-checks at all, so run Refresh now from your profile page. And if your website hasn’t actually changed since the last check, CoreLoop skips the re-read entirely — which is exactly why you’d see no activity.
