Your settings and preferences
Choose the language your dashboard is shown in, pick light or dark, and decide which emails CoreLoop sends you — plus what changes depending on your role.
Everything about how CoreLoop looks and talks to you lives in one place: Dashboard → Settings. None of it changes what agents see about your business — that is your profile. These are your own preferences.
The language your dashboard is shown in
Under Settings → Account you can switch the language of the dashboard itself. Pick from the list and the interface changes immediately; nothing else moves.
This is separate from the languages your business answers in. Those are profile languages, they live with your profile, and they are what a customer’s assistant hears. Changing your dashboard to Finnish does not translate your profile, and translating your profile does not change your dashboard.
Light or dark
Also under Settings → Account: choose the appearance you prefer, or let CoreLoop follow whatever your device is set to. It is a per-device choice, so your phone and your laptop can differ, and it is remembered on that device rather than on your account. Your public page is unaffected — visitors always see it in its own styling, which is not something you set here.
Which emails you get
Settings → Notifications lists the emails you can switch on and off yourself, six of them, each with its own switch:
- New inquiries — a customer’s assistant sent you a message (see inquiries).
- Connection alerts — when something you have connected needs attention.
- Weekly recap and monthly summary — how agents interacted with your business.
- Product updates — what is new in CoreLoop.
- Account reminders — occasional nudges about your account, such as an unfinished step.
Turn any of them off and back on whenever you like; the change takes effect on the next send. Every one of these emails also carries an unsubscribe link, which does the same thing.
Two kinds of email have no switch on this screen, and each stops a different way. The getting-started tips stop on their own after two weeks, and every one of them carries its own unsubscribe link; using it turns that category off. It is a one-way door: there is no control here to turn it back on afterwards. Scheduled client reports carry no unsubscribe link — they go out on the cadence set for each report, so you stop them by switching that schedule off under Dashboard → Clients.
A few emails cannot be switched off at all, and deliberately so: billing and payment notices, sign-in and security mail, and messages about action taken on your account. They are either legally required or the only way we can reach you about something that affects your access, so they are not listed with a toggle.
Which of these you see at all depends on your role — a viewer is not on the receiving end of any of them, so the screen tells you that rather than showing switches that would do nothing.
What depends on your role
Some of the settings screens only appear, or only allow changes, if your role permits it. There are three: Owner, Manager and Viewer.
- Your dashboard language and appearance are always yours to change, whoever you are.
- Email preferences are personal too, but only for the categories your role can actually receive — a viewer receives none of them and sees a short note in place of the switches.
- A Manager can do everything an owner can except the three things that move money or are irreversible: billing and plan changes, handing the business over, and deleting it. Those are Owner only, and the Billing tab and the danger zone simply do not appear for anyone else.
- A Viewer can look at the analytics and little else.
If a control you expect is missing, that is usually why — ask the owner to change your role.
